Laura has worked in the financial services/insurance industry for many years, helping clients with solutions to assist them with financial security for their families and businesses in the areas of business succession planning, college funding, retirement planning and estate preservation. Utilizing life insurance, business insurance and long term care products to help them transition into the next phase of life.
Laura saw an opportunity to use her previous experience to work with seniors and she and her husband Ken started Assisted Living Locators in June of 2014. She is passionate about working with Seniors and their families to find the next best place to call home or resources to help them if they choose to stay in their own home. Helping Seniors transition to a new phase of their lives, is a perfect fit to what she has done in her past career.
Laura is originally from Kentucky and has lived in Charlotte, NC for the last 15 years. She is currently serving as President of the Charlotte chapter of the Financial Planning Association and has served on the Board there for 3 years. Additionally, she has completed her CFP designation and is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners. She volunteers through a non-profit organization, Shepherd’s Center that provide education and resources to seniors by being a volunteer driver for seniors who can no longer drive to provide them access to doctor’s appointments.
She and her husband Ken have 3 children and 6 grandchildren and spending time with family is very important to them. They enjoy hiking in the mountains and spending time at the beach.
